Oakton WD-35811-74 12mm Double-Junction Glass Body Refillable pH Electrode, All-In-One Acorn, 0 - 14 pH Range Review

Oakton WD-35811-74 12mm Double-Junction Glass Body Refillable pH Electrode, All-In-One Acorn, 0 - 14 pH Range Feature

  • All-in-one pH electrode with a built-in temperature sensor for ease of use
  • Double-junction to protect silver wire contamination, and to help prevent clogging
  • Glass body to resist higher temperatures, and for more effective sealing
  • Annular-type junction for faster electrode response
  • Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC)-connected combination reference and measuring cell, for ease of use and to provide tight coaxial cable connections

The Oakton 35811-74 is a refillable, double-junction, 12-mm, all-in-one, waterproof, pH/temperature electrode, with a glass body, and 0-12 pH range. The electrode, also known as a probe, measures the pH of a solution. It is commonly used for testing dirty water and solutions with heavy metals or organics in high grade laboratory applications. This electrode is an all-in-one type with a built-in combination pH electrode/temperature sensor, phono-type (2.5 mm) connector, and 3-foot cable for ease of use. It features a double-junction to protect silver wire contamination, and help prevent clogging, and a glass body to resist higher temperatures, and for more effective sealing. It has an annular-type junction for faster electrode response, and has a BNC-connected combination reference and measuring cell, for ease of use and to provide tight coaxial cable connections.

The 35811-74 electrode has a temperature range of 0 to 100 degrees C (32 to 212 degrees F), and it has a 12-mm diameter. It is used with Oakton pH 5/6, pH 5+/6+, Ion 6, Ion 6+, pH 11/110, pH 510, Ion 510, pH 1100/2100, pH700/2700, Ion 700/2700, and PC 700/2700 meters (sold separately). It comes with a 3-foot cable, and protective electrode storage container to prevent damage.

pH electrodes measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance and are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists in hydroponics, aquaculture, agriculture, and wine-making.

Oakton Instruments manufactures an array of scientific instruments for research, industrial, and educational uses. Since 1991, Oakton has distributed a wide variety of instruments such as meters, electrodes, and transmitters. Oakton is based in Vernon Hills, IL, and has facilities in Europe, Asia, and China.
