Hanna Instruments HI 9126W Waterproof pH/ORP Meter for Wine

Hanna Instruments HI 9126W Waterproof pH/ORP Meter for Wine Review

Hanna Instruments HI 9126W Waterproof pH/ORP Meter for Wine Feature

  • Automatic calibration with five memorized buffer values for ease of use
  • Replaceable probes to prolong the life of the meter
  • Automatic temperature compensation eliminates need for extra calculations
  • Battery error prevention system to prevent false readings
  • Large LCD screen for readability

The HI 9126W is a portable pH, temperature and oxidation reduction potential (ORP) meter for both indoor and outdoor use.

The meter features pH and temperature probes, a large LCD screen, automatic temperature compensation (ATC), and a battery error protection system to prevent inaccurate readings. Calibration is automatic at one or two points with five memorized buffer values (4.01, 6.86, 7.01, 9.18, 10.01 pH), and calibration sachets are included.

pH range is -2.00 to 16.00 (+ or - 0.01pH) with a resolution of 0.01 pH. Temperature range is -20.0 to 120.0 degrees C (- 4.0 to 248.0 degrees F) + or - 0.4 degrees C (0.8 degrees F) with a resolution of 0.1 degrees C or F. ORP range is + or - 699.9 mV; + or - 1999 mV (+ or - 0.2 mV; 1 mV), with resolutions 0.1 mV; 1 mV. Input impedance is 1E12 Ohm and the device operates on three 1.5 AAA batteries with an auto-off function after 20 minutes of non-use. Dimensions are 185 x 72 x 36 mm (7.3 x 2.8 x 1.4’’), with weight 300 g (10.6 oz.). ORP probes are sold separately.

pH testers measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance and are commonly used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists.

Hanna Instruments manufactures a wide variety of analytical instrumentation, including pH meters, multi-parameter meters, electrodes, chemical reagents and buffer solutions. Founded in 1978, Hanna is headquartered in Woonsocket, RI, with subsidiaries in 32 countries. Hanna Instruments holds many firsts in the field of analytical instrumentation, including the world’s first pH electrode with a built-in temperature sensor, electronic pocket-sized pH tester, and replaceable electrode pH pocket tester. To ensure the quality of its products, Hanna is a vertically integrated manufacturer and does not subcontract any part of its manufacturing.
